1.    Fundamentals of Heat Transfer and Fluid mechanics:
This course teaches the basic laws of heat transfer by conduction, by convection and by radiation with relevant applications for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems. It also includes topics on fluid properties and fluid flow equations.

2.    Thermodynamics:
The gas laws, change of state, the first and the second law of thermodynamics when applied to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems, the properties of humid air and relevant calculations are covered in this course.

3.    Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Principles
This course introduces the simple vapor- compression cycle, the performance study of refrigeration systems for different refrigerants, the psychometric processes and the cooling load estimations.

4.    Electrical and Electronic Principles:
The course teaches electrical principles and laws, transformers, electrical motors, electronic devices, transistors and integrated circuits.

5.    Basic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning workshop:
The course deals with material, tools measuring devices, safety regulations, identification and recognition of mechanical and electrical components, leak detection, evaluation and charging of systems for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning units.

6.    Refrigeration systems and equipments:
The course introduces the analysis and performance of the multi-compression, multi-evaporator refrigeration - systems, defrost methods and the theory of operation various refrigeration equipments such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices and arrangements.

7.    Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration:
The course deals with relevant the conception of commercial refrigeration stores and the study of Industrial Refrigeration applications such as ice and ice-cream manufactures LNG liquefaction, food preservation, cold stores construction and design considerations.
8.    Commercial Refrigeration workshop:
The course deals with assembly of the mechanical an electrical parts of commercial refrigeration unit connecting the components, carrying out defrost methods, recording data and solving trouble shooting problems.

9.    Air Conditioning systems and equipments:
Summer and winter Air Conditioning cycles are described as well as air handling units, water chillers, hot water boilers, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, fans, pumps and water treatment.

10.    Air Conditioning workshop:
The course introduces the study of the different equipments used in Air Conditioning systems, installation procedures, operation and maintenance.

11.    Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Control:
The course covers the principles of automatic control and its application to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems.

12.    Central Air Conditioning:
The course introduces the different types and components of Central Air Conditioning systems and their design calculations, load estimations and selection components using software and catalogs are also covered.

13.    Refrigeration maintenance:
The course covers the various types of maintenance, maintenance programs and the required service tools used in refrigeration, trouble shooting of Central Air Conditioning units. System failure as well as log sheets analysis are also covered.
